The GreenConnect Wireless Modbus Gateway connects remote Modbus RTU devices to a building network over a long-range LoRa radio link. It receives Modbus RTU traffic from GreenConnect Wireless Modbus Nodes and converts it to Modbus TCP, so a BMS, PLC, or SCADA system on the LAN can poll field devices by IP address.
The unit ships assembled and bench-tested in a sealed IP67 enclosure. Connect the RJ45 Ethernet port to the building network, plug the unit into a 120 V outlet, and assign it an IP address. One Gateway can serve multiple Nodes on the same channel, provided every Modbus device on the network has a unique slave ID.

Typical applications
- Bringing wireless Modbus RTU devices onto a BMS or SCADA network as Modbus TCP
- Wireless submetering with meters read over the building LAN
- Connecting rooftop, cellar, or remote-building equipment to a central controller
Note: Requires at least one GreenConnect Wireless Modbus Node at the equipment end. Range depends on building construction and antenna placement. Radio round-trip time is longer than a wired connection; set the Modbus TCP response timeout in your BMS to at least 2 seconds.
